- Moved Ojai to the Carizo cluster.
- Created more user accounts for the LRS dialup server.
- Connected the rebuilt Terra10 into the FDDI ring.
- Talked to Egill about ordering a memory upgrade for Carizo.
- Renewed the CSLG software licenses for the VMS systems.
- The Warm disk on Carizo [dkb200:] started logging errors. The errors
were such that it indicated bad blocks on the disk. Ran ANALYZE/MEDIA on
it to rebuild the bad block table. This corrected the fault.
- There were problems with the CCO nameservers over the weekend, which
caused some spurious error pages to be sent.
- Received the memory upgrade for Carizo and installed it. Carizo now has
320MB in it.
- Added some more accounts for the LRS dialup server.
- Talked to Jeff about moving the cage containing Mojave and Cajon in order
to make room for the new rack.
- Attended the CUBE users meeting.
- Reinstalled Solaris on one of the old Sun IPX workstations so it can be
set up in the hallway to display real-time seismograms.
- Assisted Alberto in moving the Mojave/Cajon cage and in installing our
new rack.
- Bought a rack shelf for the new Sun E5000. The four-disk array that it
came with was then mounted on this shelf. Also installed ATM, FDDI, and
Ethernet controller cards in the machine.
- Bought plywood for shelves in the new rack. Began rebuilding the shelf
supports in the rack.
- Received two new HP LaserJet5SI printers. It turned out that they were
mistakenly ordered without the Postscript option. We will buy the
Postscript SIMM and additional memory separately.
