- Set up Juniper, which is the new Solaris system for Bob Dollar.
- Finished applying recommended Solaris security patches.
- Tuesday-Friday were vacation days.
- Talked to Linda Emerson at ATSC about Y2k issues.

default.
- Investigated some problems that Kate had with the web page access to

- Iron had an altered version of sendmail running on it. This turned out
to have been replaced by one of the patches in the "Solaris recommended
patches" that Allan installed while I was gone.
- Got version 8.9.3 of sendmail for the Solaris systems.
- Fixed a problem with the mailer on Sarala's machine. The mailer was
doing a faulty name lookup when sending mail, and would try to send mail to
the wrong IP address.
- Several users complained about getting multiple copies of some of the
automatically-generated email messages distributed through the quake-alarm
mailing list on ehzsouth. This turned out to be a problem with the
rtp-notice distribution list on the gps unix systems. Kimo agreed that the
addresses on that distribution list should just be on the main quake-alarm
list, so majordomo should prevent this problem from happening again.
